Industrial Polymers & Chemicals (IPAC) has joined in the effort to fight COVID-19 by combining shift workforces and capabilities to manufacture personal protective equipment (PPE) for front line medical personnel.

IPAC is cutting material round the clock, to specifications required for protective isolation gowns.

The Massachusetts Manufacturing Emergency Response Team was developed to assist in the effort of manufacturing PPE equipment, and IPAC is proud to have answered the call.

IPAC’s normal business is manufacturing reinforcements for abrasive wheels. It took some time, and some tweaking of our normal cutting designs to ensure the right dimensions/sizing of the gowns, but we did, and now we are rolling.

We have added a temporary weekend shift to our normal weekly scheduled hours, so our amazing team members can make a difference in this time of need.

We also send a huge “thank you” to our suppliers, as we could not make this happen without them!
